![]() Currently, the universe exists as a series of seperate 'mini worlds' known as the 'netherworlds'. Although, some of the inhabitants call these worlds other things, like 'Kingdoms'. Each one is ruled by an Overlord, or a King, depending on who you ask. Eventually, it's possible that their gravity may draw them all together to form one world. But since that hasn't happened yet, we must deal with what is. The Overlords have many different duties, usually involved with keeping the inhabitants of their world either happy, and not wanting to revolt, or so fear stricken that they wouldn't dare. But the Overlords aren't the only things doing important things in these worlds, not by any means. There are a miriad of different people and creatures who are doing everything from become pop superstars, to just trying to make their way in the err...netherworld. ![]() The netherworlds used to be separated, each having their own space, but they've now been connected via portal gates, making them like a string of small islands. It's reletively easy to get from one to the other, and most of the inhabitants know exactly where to go when they need to travel. Some people even make their living by traveling to other netherworlds to offer services as soldiers, exterminators, or maids. These portals have been made possible by one company, known as Rosenqueen & co. They sell goods throughout the netherworlds, providing not only convienient items and equipment, but also jobs for the inhabitants of those worlds. If you work in retail, you probably work for Rosenqeen & co. There is an operator at each gate (they're called 'Makai Gates') Who charges a specific rate of Hl each time you want to travel to a new location. The amount of Hl charged depends on the Netherworld you are in at the moment. Netherworlds with more powerfull overlords may charge as much as 50Hl for portal usage. Currency There are four kinds of currency circulating amoungst the Netherworlds, they are; Inotium - In Prica - Pr Bordeaux - BCR Hell - Hl Like most currancy systems, they have different values for each one. They are sperated as follows: 5In = 1Pr, 5Pr = 1BCR, 5BCR = 1Hl ![]() Mana Power: Overlords and regular residents alike are mesured by the amount of raw power that they have. This is called 'Mana'. The more Mana a person has, the higher they are in the Netherworld Hierarchy. Currantly at the top of the Tier is Baal. He's so powerfull that instead of being called an Overlord, his title is 'Lord of Terror'. The Void: The void is a kind of Slum made up of incomplete or previously destroyed Netherworlds. It's also known as 'the Dungeon'. It's accessable by every Netherworld but few people go there because of the nature of it's inhabitants. Every once in a blue moon, a resident of the void gains enough mana power to convert a piece of it into their own full fledged netherworld, but this hasn't happened in quite a while because of the ever present threat of it being taken and/or destroyed by either Baal, or Demon King Zetta. While getting into the void can be reletively easy. (you pay to go there as per usual) Getting out can be much harder because most of the Voids inhabitants can't afford to pay the gatekeepers fees. However, there is a rumor of an old hermit that lives in the Slums named Mr. Gensi who has mastered the ability to come and go from the Slums as he pleases, without having to use the warp gate. |
