mangacide: (Fearie Love)
Fires fires and more fires, what's becoming of this place? Still though I don't feel as bad physically as I thought I would. Water douses fire, so I'm stronger than it I suppose. I'd hate to be an air sign right now though. Or certain Earth signs if they're more plant attuned than rock or ground. So anyroad, I've been grabbing Grateful Dead songs left and right since yesterday. So much awesome in that band xD Oh Jerry, why'd you have to go? Of all the albums I've heard (which isn't many btw), my favorite is "In the Dark". It's got the song Throwing Stones on it, and Black Muddy River, and My Brother Esau. But that was only on the Cassette. Check it out:

In The Dark - Grateful Dead (Arista AL 8452) According to Arista, released
July 9, 1987. Available in stores on July 6, 1987. Only the cassette
version of this release includes "My Brother Esau", inserted at the end of
what is side one of the album. The "eyes" on the front cover are printed
right side up. "Tons Of Steel" was originally recorded by Brent Mydland for
his unreleased solo album. More that 100,000 right side up covers, in all
formats, were printed. "Day Job" was intended for this album, but was not
included, probably due to the poor audience response to the song when it was
performed live. The album reached number seven on the charts. Much of the
album was recorded "live" on stage at the Marin County Veteran's Auditorium.
David Gans added a few lines of lyrics: "I had that "shipping powders"
couplet in my notes for a song of my own, and I thought it would fit right
into "Throwing Stones" so I gave it to Bobby, and he liked it enough to plug
it in! My other contribution was changing "You imagine me kissing the toe of
our boot" to "You imagine me sipping champagne from your boot." " "Black
Muddy River" is an examination of life at forty-five years old.

And they did a lot of covers of other songs too, I'm learning now. It's great :D Today is going to be interesting. With good music and My Mom is bringing her kitties over to be socialized a bit. I need a litter box though x.x|| The thing I'm using right now is getting too small as my kitten gets ever bigger. I can't wait until I can start letting him out with Vash. He's orange, so I named him Rei, after the character from Breath of Fire III :D He's such a cute little brat. I'm his mommy because the lady who gave him to me got him from K-mart and he was separated from his momma waayy too early, so I've had to teach him not to bite too hard and everything.

I also recently grabbed the 6 Legend of Drizzt graphic novels off Torrentz.com. (with the help of UTorrent). Love those books. They're awesome and make me miss the days when I could game with my friends ^.^ Ah my friends...I miss them. Not just the real ones, but the ones here too. I miss the days when my friends list always had posts from Sten and Hilf and Jeff. With just the communities and a few aquaintences on there it feels rather lonely going to my OOC journal these days. But life continues on. I still have art and Sker, and for that I am eternally grateful ^.^ Stay safe everyone, I'm always thinking of you.

So tonight I'll sing, a song to all my friends,
Also to those I won't be seeing again,
To those I knew,
And those I still adore,
And I want to see once more,
I just pray that you will love me,
And trust me,
Laugh with me and cry with me,
Spend those silent times with me,
Love me...
